Carpaccios chosen as Flavour of the Year 2007


 The fineness of the slices, the harmony of the colours and the assertive yet delicate flavour of the salmon carpaccios won consumers over. The two salmon carpaccio recipes, both of fine slices of raw salmon marinated in olive oil and herbs, were rewarded with the Flavour of the Year award. This prize is granted to the best products in terms of taste quality. 
  

 Emincés in the Spotlight at the Distributor Brand Exhibition  

 

   

At the last Distributor Brand Exhibition in Paris last March, the Dill-Lemon and Carrefour Five Berry émincés received the Distributor Brand Manufacturers’ Top Award in the category “Flavour/Gourmet-Tradition”. The émincés won the jury over thanks to a perfect marriage of herbs and puréed slices of smoked salmon. Meralliance selects carefully boned and prepared fillets (removal of the brown muscle), delicately salted then smoked. Only the fillet centres are kept and cut, “duck fillet style”, into rich, generous slices.  

The FEEF’s Grés d’Or Award    
   

Meralliance received the second prize of the Grés d'Or 2007 for its partnership with Système U on development of Système U Label Rouge smoked salmon.
This award, created in 1999, rewards each year exemplary partnerships between independent firms and distributor brands. It highlights the realistic and constructive policy of cooperation that the FEEF is developing with Big Business.
