Life
on board
We have the scale and strength of an international group, but our organisation remains on a human scale. At MerAlliance, every team member counts, and we support them throughout their time with us by ensuring their personal development and well-being at work
With us, life on board means :
Safety first
Preserving your health throughout your career at MerAlliance is a priority. We are developing a strong culture of safety at work by applying our RACE programme, a virtuous and empowering approach. Our teams benefit in particular from an MSD prevention programme, the installation of exoskeletons in production and safety training throughout the year.
Openness and inclusion
In partnership with local stakeholders, we are pursuing an inclusive policy to promote the integration of workers who are far from employment, jobseekers or people with disabilities. Inclusion and diversity in the workplace are more than a priority, they are a strength for us!
Little extras that make everyday life better
Our Quality of Life at Work programme, which was launched over twenty years ago, is enhanced every year, so the list is long! A childcare solution with our inter-company crèche, massages during working hours, themed workshops led by professionals in safety, ergonomics at work or nutrition, convivial events (barbecues, seasonal buffets, sporting events, etc.), bakery/snack service, food-truck, fortnightly free fruit distribution, participative library (and lots of other nice touches!), etc.

Your on-boarding
Our ambition is that every employee should feel welcome and cared for from the moment they arrive on board. We take care to prepare a welcome adapted to each function.
In production or logistics, you will be looked after on D-day by a dedicated, trained tutor who will support you throughout your induction. Someone from the HR department or one of your line managers will always be on hand to answer any practical questions you may have.
If you are joining us in a support function, a tailor-made induction programme over the first fortnight will give you the opportunity to meet your new colleagues on an individual basis and get to know our various sites in Brittany. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the production workshops and try out the jobs for half a day (always accompanied by our great tutors!). You’ll also have the chance to taste our (very good) products.
Our in-house training school : the Thai Union Academy France
The Thai Union Academy aims to create vocations, strengthen the know-how of our employees by offering solid work-linked training courses in skills that meet the needs of the market, and recognise the skills of our teams through certification recognised by an industry diploma.
Lasting 6 months, these certification courses give trainees the opportunity to join our teams. The diploma is also valid in any other company in the same sector.

Become a Production Operator
You will help to provide our customers with top-quality smoked fish by taking part in their manufacture, in compliance with hygiene, safety and product quality rules. Your versatility will enable you to work in various teams, from receiving our fish to dispatching the products. The aim of this course is to prepare learners for a multi-skilled and essential role in production or logistics within the company.

Become a line driver
You will be responsible for a production or packaging line. Following the production schedule drawn up by your manager, you will ensure that each stage of production runs smoothly and that quality, health and safety standards are applied. You will manage the staff on your line and be in constant contact with the various production-related departments within the company (maintenance, quality, logistics, etc.).
