In-house laboratory

To guarantee products of impeccable quality and a responsive service, we have our own in-house laboratory. Based at our Landivisiau site, it carries out :

  • 30,000 bacteriological analyses per year
  • 8,500 physico-chemical analyses
  • full toxicological monitoring

Our Quality team carries out control tastings:

  • products tasted and validated twice a year by 270 consumers
  • product tests every week by an internal panel trained in sensory analysis

Our policy is based on a long-standing commitment to continuous improvement and quality management:

2005: MerAlliance was the first company in its sector to obtain Quality Safety Environment and IFS (International Food Standard) certification.

2014: it strengthened its quality system by becoming the first French smoker to be ASC certified and by obtaining Global G.A.P. certification.

2024: for the 8ᵉ consecutive year, MerAlliance achieves the maximum level of ‘Excellence’ performance in its CSR approach, according to the ISO 26000 standard, for all its sites.

100% of our products carry at least one certification controlled by an independent body.

Our smoked salmon and trout are all eligible for the ‘Fumé en France’ (Smoked in France) label, which attests to the fact that all the stages in their preparation are carried out in France, from inspection of the fish on arrival in the workshops to packaging.
