Européenne De La Mer, a subsidiary of Thai Union Europe and a leading producer of salmon and smoked fish for the European and French markets, today announces its intention to close its plant in Dabrowa Chelminska, near Bydgoszcz, Poland.

MerAlliance launches this quarter a renovation and a project to expand its site in Quimper meeting structural, social and environmental objectives, and prepares for the strong activity of the end of the year for which recruitment is underway.

Paris, France, 28^th September, 2018 – Following our announcement on 27th September 2018 of the proposed sale and/or closure of The Edinburgh Salmon Company Ltd (ESCo) in Dingwall, Scotland, we regret to announce that no feasible alternative solution to closure was found during collective consultation. As a result, the Company will cease production at the end of the year. 

Paris, France, 27^th September, 2018 – Européenne de la Mer, a subsidiary of Thai Union Group, and a leading European producer of chilled seafood today announced the proposed sale or closure of The Edinburgh Salmon Company Ltd (“ESCo”) in Dingwall, Scotland.

On Wednesday June 20th, more than 50 children will come to visit their parent's workplace, at MerAlliance, in Quimper. They will discover smoked salmon manufacturing functions: another convivial way to build links between salaries, organized by the Happiness Team of the company !

To prepare for the peak of production at the end of the year and replace the permanent staff on summer holidays, MerAlliance is now recruiting around a hundred employees for its Quimper production site.
